Toy's Story...

Actress Toy Connor was introduced to the world via her breakout role as Tyreeka Freemon in David Simon's 3 Emmy award winning HBO Series, "The Corner", and later went on to Star and Guest Star in a plethora of Films and Primetime television dramas in the United States throughout the years which include ER, CSI, and General Hospital to name a few. However, Toy is also the CEO and Executive Producer at Blackskirt Entertainment and an accomplished director, producer, and screenwriter.

Toy is a proud participant of AFI's Lifetime Alumni who participated in the coveted AFI Director's Workshop for Women and UCLA's Screenwriters program, Toy came under the tutelage of the late two-times Emmy winner, David Mills where she honed her craft. Toy's Caribbean and New York upbringing resonate the perfect balance of authenticity, edge and dark humor in her writing, with a perspective that culminates from the trenches.
